The mission of Ƶ is to deliver high-quality, affordable and accessible online programs grounded in evidence-based content and relevant application, preparing graduates to serve, lead, and achieve personal and professional goals in diverse, evolving communities.

One of the ways we’re doing this is through online Ed.D. programs with a global impact. Our international knowledge-seeking student body is growing, along with the presence of ACE doctoral graduates who are applying and implementing new knowledge beyond just the United States. Presenting at international education conferences, ACE graduates are sharing and showcasing their expertise, skills and research with educators from multiple countries, impacting the development of global education and leadership practices.

The Power of Doctoral Education at ACE

How are ACE graduates capable of leading the way on an international stage? It starts with the veteran faculty scholars who serve as a resource and village that guides our students forward with diverse perspectives and seasoned experience. Our doctoral candidates are always supported, whether they are completing projects or engaging in research. As a result, our graduates feel confident stepping into leadership positions as they advance their fields of study.

While many doctoral programs aim to build leaders, those with fully online coursework offer the advantage of accessible learning experiences that provide opportunities for individuals all around the globe to elevate, influence, impact and innovate education, reducing education inequities. ACE’s global graduates leave with evidence-based and solution-based projects related to the issues impacting their communities, which can be further developed into studies and dissertations that contribute to the research literature.

Leadership in Action

Education innovations by ACE alumni are being championed on the worldwide stage, helping to improve teaching and learning practices for all students at every grade level. Here are just some of the ways our doctoral graduates are sharing their work:

  • A few years ago, Dr. Sydney Rice presented on integrating servant leadership to initiate change for marginalized learners at the Australian Association for Research in Education Conference in Sydney.
  • In November 2024, Dr. Christel Young presented at the International Conference on Urban Education in Mexico.
  • In March 2025, Dr. Thomas Szymanski presented on technology and student engagement at the International Technology, Education and Development Conference in Spain.
  • In July 2025, Dr. Jeffrey Chernosky presented on supporting students in higher education at the InSITE Conference in Japan.

We also continue to hear from our graduates who are being innovative by creating and introducing new ideas, methods and products in their field of study.

  • Dr. Marissa Winmill served as a consultant with an international organization that supports the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students.
  • Dr. Rukiya Deetjen Ruiz recently presented on inclusive education in the United Kingdom.
  • Dr. Ramona Jenkins serves as chief human resources officer at a school district and works to provide her students with global perspectives and cultural experiences through a teacher exchange program.
  • Dr. Brooke Langan coordinates a teacher candidate exchange between her university in Pennsylvania and a university in Germany, where both sides travel to the other’s country and learn about teaching practices, educational systems and more.

What Sets ACE Doctoral Graduates Apart

ACE graduates are often leaders who are boots-on-the-ground in their positions. This is because our Ed.D. program coursework structure allows our students to continue full-time employment and live full lives while gaining academic and leadership skills to cement them as experts in pedagogy and within their profession.

While our faculty guide our students toward higher cognition, we also embrace the insights into real-time, real-world challenges our students gift us. These insights almost function as a feedback loop, allowing us to better adjust and tailor our instruction to address the landscape that today’s teachers, educational administrators and leaders are working within. And to help our students become more effective leaders, collaborators and catalysts for change, we provide them with the ability to apply proven frameworks and robust research methods to study and develop new hypotheses and strategies.

ACE’s Global Reach and Community

ACE’s online learning environment and our ability to keep tuition affordable makes the attainment of a terminal degree possible for many who otherwise wouldn’t be able to pursue one, whether it be due to geographic restrictions, professional obligations, busy personal lives or financial constraints.

One of the benefits of this accessibility? Our student population is diverse in nature and rich with experience, which often facilitates robust discussion and sharing of best practices that augment the strategies our students learn through our rigorous coursework. What they learn from class and what they learn from peers get applied to their professional roles, making an immediate and continuous impact on their careers before they even complete their degree.

When doctoral candidates reach the concluding chapter of their dissertation, they are asked to think critically and reflect on the research they’ve conducted and interpret their findings or results. I refer to this as the call to action, as our candidates articulate the implications of their research on educational and leadership practices. I’m proud to see so many of ACE’s doctoral graduates take their calls to action to the next level by continuing their scholarship beyond commencement and thinking globally. I, along with my colleagues, am always willing to collaborate with and support our alumni leaders to showcase their research, promoting innovation and progress in their fields around the world.

Ƶ provides affordable access to ٱ’spost-ٱ’s and doctoral degrees to those who want to increase their impact in their field through scholarship and leadership.
